Get Well Soon is our consumer facing brand that we will be using to acquire self-pay patients.
A strong, immediately understandable, relatable brand, Get Well Soon represents the service we provide to our patients and the care we take with their health.
We own getwellsoon.co.uk.
Get Well Soon uses a mix of technology, digital marketing and human interaction to connect uninsured private patients with surgeons and physicians. Patients can be seen within days and operated on within a fortnight ensuring they are able to regain their quality of life without delay.
Get Well Soon will focus on a specific range of common conditions, selected for their inconvenience to patients, waiting list times, low risk and relative affordability.
We have chosen a list of 35 conditions and procedures that are among the most common in the private sector, covering Urology, Colorectal, Upper GI, Breast, Hernia, Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology and Endoscopy.
THE DEMAND FOR SELF-PAY IS RISING QUICKLY
OUR MARKET IS THE 89% OF THE UK WITHOUT PRIVATE MEDICAL INSURANCE
Some of the diagnostics and surgery can be provided on an outpatient basis, In facilities other than hospitals – some procedures will require an overnight stay.
In 2019/20 these procedures accounted for around £280m of self-pay spend which was around 15% of the total self-pay private health market.
Patients that come to us, as a result of our marketing, looking for treatment of conditions outside the parameters of GWS will be referred to a clinician within the Medmin clinic group, where appropriate.
The sector is currently underserved by targeted marketing initiatives that focus on specific conditions. Our intention is, therefore, to aggressively pursue market share for self-pay patients. We will do this by spending online and offline with both linear and addressable TV campaigns that will help to build brand fame and provide access to one of our key demographics.
Enhanced search engine optimisation and search engine marketing campaigns will dominate specific groups of keywords appropriate to the conditions we treat. Our scale allows us to build campaigns that can reach self-pay patients in a way that no single clinician can. Our independence also makes social engagement more straightforward, concentrating on patient stories and community forums.
